波音研制先进激光武器 堪称无人机杀手

新浪科技讯 北京时间10月5日消息，据国外媒体报道，美国波音公司研制了一款功率10千瓦的激光武器，可在一个高科技传感器阵列的帮助下击落无人机。这款激光武器安装在卡车上，被称之为“高能激光移动验证器”，能够克服雾风雨等不利天气条件，追踪和击落无人机，也被形象地称之为“轮子上的死亡光线”。
HELMD让人们一瞥未来武器的面貌。这款先进武器借助不可见的激光束锁定目标，除了能够击落无人机外，甚至也能将导弹从空中斩落。HELMD配备一台10千瓦固态激光器和一个雷达系统，安装在佛罗里达州埃格林空军基地的一辆重型卡车顶部。
波音定向能系统部门负责人戴夫-德杨表示：“在佛罗里达州的多风、多雨和多雾天气条件下，HELMD的10千瓦激光器面临最严峻的挑战。2013年在新墨西哥州的白沙导弹试验场以及2014年春季在埃格林空军基地进行的测试证明了HELMD的可靠性，能够在各种环境下持续获取、追踪和打击一系列目标，说明定向能系统能够在军事方面得到应用。”
在这些测试中，HELMD利用了安装在奥什科什战术军用卡车上的一台10千瓦高能激光器。这款验证器是迄今为止美军研制和测试的第一个移动的高能激光、反火箭、火炮和迫击炮平台。德杨指出：“借助HELMD这样的设备，波音证明定向能技术能够壮大现有的动能打击武器的实力，同时大幅降低发射成本。这种激光系统只消耗柴油，连续发射时无需付出昂贵的炮弹或者人力成本。”
通过两次验证，波音完成了预定的所有性能检测目标，共成功击落150多个空中目标，包括60毫米口径的迫击炮弹以及无人机。接下来，波音将为HELMD安装50或者60千瓦的激光器，在这一具有战术意义的功率条件下测试反火箭炮、火炮、迫击炮以及无人机的能力。
在此前进行的测试中，宽度相当于25美分硬币的不可见激光束成功击落90多枚来袭迫击炮弹以及6到7架无人机。迫击炮是常见的战场武器，由于可以从短距离进行发射，因此很难防御。测试中使用的迫击炮弹是标准的60毫米口径，相当于足球的直径，从距离HELMD不到2公里的地方进行齐射，每次发射2到3枚迫击炮弹。
HELMD击落迫击炮的成功率说明这种在战场上抵御小型炮弹的能力将在几年内成为现实。美军公布的激光武器测试录像显示，激光锁定迫击炮后对其进行加热，使其在尚未飞抵目标前便在半空爆炸，进而化解威胁。HELMD项目负责人亚当-巴尔表示：“我们基本上将其变成石头。”
测试中，大型无人机从距HELMD5公里的地方起飞。激光击中无人机尾部，最后在新墨西哥州沙漠坠毁。当时，红外摄像机捕捉机尾处的一个小光点如何一点点变大，最后导致无人机失控的全过程。HELMD可用于有限防御目的，通过降低强度让无人机的传感器变成瞎子。美军计划缩小HELMD激光系统的体积，同时将功率提高到50千瓦，最终提高到100千瓦。缩小体积便于将HELMD安装在更多投放战场的军车上。提高功率允许激光束在更远的距离击毁快速移动的目标，同时缩短所需时间。在击落相同目标时，100千瓦激光束击落目标所需的时间只有10千瓦激光束的十分之一。
