imagineacarwithoutasteeringwheel.toughtoimagine,right?well,actuallythat’stheimageyouseeifapersonhasnofaith.faithhelpstoguideusinourlives,encourageustopersist,andgivedirectionswhenwearelost.
inthispeacefulera,ourlifepathsseemtobealreadywell-plannedanddetermined.whatwehavetodoistofollow.yes,wemayfacedifferentsortsofchallenges,butatleasttheyarelessharshwhencomparedtothoseinthepast.wedonotneedtoworryaboutstarvingtodeath,orhowtoearnenoughmoneytobuyfoodforoursiblingsandsustainourlives.
itislikedrivingfromamuddyroadintoahighway.inthemuddyroad,path,youwouldsay,asitisformedonlybycrossingonitmanytimes,flatteningthegroundtoformasmootherareasowecanpass.theroadissobumpyandrough,withholeshereandthereandrockslyingallover.whenwedrivealongthisroad,wehavetobeverycareful,havingafirmgriponthesteeringwheel,readyforasuddenturnoralargeboulderthatmayappearanysecond.however,whenwedriveonahighway,everythingbecomesdifferent.theroadissmooth,straight,andvisible.sincethereisnounseenobstacle,wemaylowerourguard,relaxabit,andloosenourgriponthesteeringwheel.onemayeventhink,ifweonlyhavetodriveonasmoothstraightroadlikethishighway,whywouldweneedasteeringwheel?
